Evaluating the impact of Marie Stopes International's digital family planning counselling application on the uptake of long-acting and permanent methods of contraception in Vietnam and Ethiopia: a study protocol for a multi-country cluster randomised controlled trial

Verbal informed consent (via telephone) will be obtained from all participating clients for the trial (both for the initial and 4-month follow-ups), and for all participating providers (prior to cluster randomisation and implementation of the intervention), and written informed consent will be obtained from all participating providers and clients for the observational survey and in-depth interview components of the study. Marie Stopes Ethiopia and Marie Stopes Vietnam are leading the implementation of the study in Ethiopia and Vietnam (including training of providers, and data collection and entry). Acting as co-investigators, they are jointly responsible for the delivery of the protocol and results. Not applicable. ER is employed by MSI.
